Just wondering what others have used as a pink eye glue alternative? As the problem is large in the area this year, pink eye glue has become very hard to get, also costly and wanting to know an alternative:)

You're talking about the stuff you glue patches on with?
It's just backtag glue. Talk to the load out guy at the sale barn you use. He may just give you a couple tubes for free. They get it by the cases for free for the state.

Gorilla tape might work too.

Forget the glue and patch. There is a method of injecting antibiotics in the eye which really works much better. I have never done it but I have watched it being done by both vets and people who have learned the method from a vet.

It works excellent but im gonna bet most people will not try it.
A cow's eye lid is surprisingly tough. I used to inject eyes with 50/50 penicillin and Dexamethazone. It works on "normal pink eye "
We've tried patches, and powders, some off label spray for dogs, a homemade spray that the vet I used to work for made. ( it actually worked pretty good)
Now we use Deraxxin and mastitis cream.
The cream soothes there eye and the Deraxxin works on this nasty pink eye that's around here that LA200 won't touch.

1 cc of long acting pen under the membrane on top, white part of eye with a 22 gauge needle works the very best for us. You need good restraint for obvious reasons.
