Picture - Old Commercial cow - Jamison sire

Help Support CattleToday:

That is strange, I never noticed it at first. I was not paying that much attention when I was snapping pictures. It does look like she is getting nursed.

She is not the greatest cow in the world, but she has had a calf every year and it has always been in the top half of the crop. Even this year she will have an above average calf.

The thing I noticed most today was that I need to wean calves. The pasture is getting really dry and the cows are starting to show a little strain. I usually like to wait until Nov but we had a wet spring then dry summer, then some hurricane rain now dry and hot for over a month. Not a drop of rain there for over a month.

I sure wish the weather would cooperate more!
