We chopped oats this week. It is the first time to ever have a silage of any kind on our place. It did very well. Should be real good feed for the calves.

You've been getting rain, looks good. That's a good way to put up oats. You're going to have spoilage, looks like you got a good pack to minimize it.

No, I am not even sure what it is called. Whatever a neighbor had that we bought and planted. We aren't much for farmers and the gound isn't farm ground, so we use what is available.
