trying to post a photo of my mare.

If it is sucessful it will mark the first time I have ever gotten a photo up on this site.

the mare is 3/4 quarter horse and out of a half QH half Percheron mare, and she is sired by a stallion named Lucky Blue Jack. She was a PMU baby and came to me as a weanling via now defunct Foal Quest from a farm in Alberta Canada. That farm is no longer in the PMU business but still raises a few quarter horses.

the photo was taken at the Petersburg National Battlefield which was the site of the last major engagement of the War Between the States or the War of Northern Agression. This battlefield is the site of the infamous "Crater". From Petersburg General Lee led his army southwest to Appomattox fighting skirmishes all along the way with Grants persuing troops. Lee finally Met with Grant at Appomattox.

The Battlefield has miles of beautiful multiuse trails and is a lovely place to ride. Not far away is Pocahontas State Park which also has miles of multiuse trails.
