Not true, 2003 Monte Walsh. Unforgiven is a good one though, one of my favorites.
Never heard of Monte Walsh.
1970 movie starring Lee Marvin as Monte Walsh and Jack Palance as Chet Rollins.
directed by Wm Fraker who had 5 movies nominated for best cinematography.

I want to see it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Never heard of Monte Walsh.
1970 movie starring Lee Marvin as Monte Walsh and Volodymyr Palahniuk as Chet Rollins.
An interesting aside to Jack Palance. Legend was... that his 'unique' facial features were the result of a 1942 incident involving bailing out of a burning or exploding B24 Liberator bomber in Arizona. His face was reportedly reconstructive surgery.
He denied it, saying the story was made up by a PR guy and the reporters bought it hook line and sinker.

Studio press agents make up anything they want to, and reporters go along with it. One flack created the legend that I had been blown up in an air crash during the war, and my face had to be put back together by way of plastic surgery. If it is a "bionic face," why didn't they do a better job of it?

I remember him mostly as Wilson in Shane, the lead character in Dracula and Curly in Cityslickers, and him doing his 1 arm pushups at the academy awards...

But the best western EVER was Outlaw Josie Wales....
Outlaw Josey Wales 1976 budget 3.7 million - box office 31.8 million
rotten tomatoes 90% approval rating. In 1999 Clint Eastwood called it an
anti-war movie and a high point in my career.

Proof that box office doesn't = a good movie is Avatar 2009 the all time highest grossing film 2.88 billion vs 246 million budget
Greatest technical effects of all time, but the storyline is a steaming pile of liberal tripe - my 2 cents

I had to go to Killeen today for a Dr Appointment and on the return trip decided to stop by Walmart for a gallon of milk. But 1st was going to get a badly needed haircut at the shearer inside Walmart. There was a girl behind the counter playing on her phone and another in a barber's chair doing the same thing and no one else.
me:
"Can a man get a haircut here?"

her:
"Sure can but our prices for a regular man's haircut start at $24.95"

me:
Well, I'm no 'regular' man, whatever that is nowadays but that's outrageous. I paid $12 bucks for my haircut in Walmart back in East Texas a few months ago
she:
"That has nothing to do with us here. It's still $24.95"

me:

"Maybe not but it probably has a lot to do why you 2 are sittin on your backsides playing phone games instead of cutting hair, while hoping someone dumb enough to pay $25 bucks for a regular haircut comes in."

She looked at me like I had just shot her dog.

I went on into Cove and got a fine haircut at a little mom/pop barbershop on 190 by a mid aged Korean lady for $13, and included a very nice and intelligent conversation.

Last week,Typhoon Karding roared thru the Philippines causing the usual mess in Manila. Power out, trees down and profound flooding.
Some locals, instead of wading shoulder deep water found and interesting tho risky way of getting around while staying mostly dry.
I just don't know what to say about this picture...........
