Paula Deen

It's always like this, when a white person makes a racist comment or says nappy head over the radio crap hits the fan. People want jobs taken and Al Sharpton brings his arse down and demands them to be fired to just like Imus on the radio. He got him fired but after they realized how much money they would loose they redone his contract and paid Imus more to just take a year off and now he is right back on radio. It's silly for people to get bent out of shape. Pretty soon we want be able to say Gay because the Gay rights group will say the word is politically incorrect and we should say Homosexuals instead. I mean heck we just lost the ASU Indians because the Indian council forbid it to be used as a College Mascot.. Now there the ASU Redwolves.. How stupid is that?? I get so bent out of shape how people used to say sticks & stones may break my bones but words can never HURT me.. Well what happen to that ? Why is words causing the changing of our rights and freedoms. Hell we can even have the 10 commandments in the supreme court yard anymore because it doesn't conform to all religious sides. Even though our country is founded in the name of God we trust. The only reason why the government doesn't change the In God We Trust on money is because they would loose there arse off trying to get the old money back and nearly be impossible! We need a president in office that takes back up for the constitution and looks out for the BEST of the COMMON people and AMERICA. Every president that gets put in office now is about what ever corporate giant paid the most he looks after. Or goes to war with a country to get a cut rate on Oil overseas and help his own Oil company flourish in the U.S. because were at war... It's a joke now... They should put candidates on T.V. and vote for them like American Idol, text 4576 to vote for Canadite #1 and so on..etc

The word "gay" hits a sore spot with me. Back in ancient history (and I mean just a few years ago) the word was used to denote happy, lighthearted, etc. I always liked the word and used it a lot.
Now the homosexuals have taken it over. I can't use it anymore because people have become so brainwashed they don't even know what the word used to mean and they don't know what I'm talking about if I do use it. Just a lot of confusion now.

When did they get control of the word? How did they get control?
What really bugs me is that the people just sit back and let any minority upstart group change any word they want to and the people just conform.
The inmates have taken over the yard. :help:

Same with the N word. Somebody, I don't know who or how or even when, changed the meaning of the word. There are people that condemn using the word and they are so short sighted they don't even know where the word came from and it's meaning.
All this is a bunch of propaganda and people fall for it so they can be "politically correct" and not realize they are being controlled by the liberal media. Of course they will deny they are being politically correct at the same time they are following the "party line".

And that's my say on the matter (for now).

The other side of the coin:
Last night my wife and I were going to B&N bookstore. Double doors are at the entrance.
As we were nearing the doors a nice looking, neat in appearance, young mother of color was coming out.
Her children, a boy and a girl maybe 5-6 years old, stopped and held the doors open for us to enter.
The kids, like the mother, were clean, neatly dressed and polite. I told them, "Thank you very much".
The little girl said, "You are welcome".
I told the mother that she had very polite children.
If they want respect, this is the way to get it. Earn it. Be first class, not complain, riot and demand it.

Went in the store and saw two white youths sloppily dressed, pants hanging down, girl walking in front and boy behind draping himself on her. Disgusting sight. They were not first class. I would guess poor home raising.
They need lessons in decorum from the little kids.

Just saying what I saw.

When I was a kid I had a girl friend named Gay Dalton, I'll gaurantee she wasn;t queer. I wonder if she has changed her name now

The word "gay" has denoted homosexuals for over 45 years.
I read somewhere that a disgruntled employee started Paula Deen's downfall.

You know Rush Limbaugh initially lost a lot of his advertisers after making comments about the promiscuous woman needing help with her birth control pills while in college. Most have returned. I'm hoping it will be the same way with Paula Deen. Who knows. Either way maybe in the end she can tell them all to "Kiss my grits".

Guess I was late (as usual) hearing about it. How did that get started?

Its been around since the 20's or 30's. Gay was a code word the gays used since most people didn't understand what the homosexuals were talking about. When traveling they would ask people if they knew where a gay club was. Straight people would answer by talking about lively places but to those in the gay community it meant something difference and this would break the ice. They would also use the term "gey cat" if they wanted to find an underage boy who was gay.

The word was first introduced to the American public by Carey Grant. Most people thought he meant he was care free but Carey knew exactly what he was talking about.

Heard on the radio yesterday something about Paula Deen starting a comeback effort. Sounds like she's got an investor putting some serious money into her brand. No other info.

I herd something about that last night also, 75 million is what they said someone had invested in her.

Why is there that much money to be made from a so-so cook? There are some that post on this board that would out cook her by a country mile. :2cents:

I used to know a lady named Gay Huntsman. I don't know if she was a homosexual or not. Might have been. The company had a ton of 'em, situated in the homo hood for Houston.

Sounds like a porn star name for a guy though. Gay Huntsman.

I would welcome Paula back in a second if she would get on TV and tell all the hypacites that tore her up, to kiss her big fat Southern A$$.
