I am running some pairs on rented ground that I am unable to section off due to its size. I know its best to rotate pastures not only for grass reproduction but also to minimize the risk of contracting worms or disease. Since I can't do it, what sort of practice should I stay on top of to control outbreaks. (frequency, timings......)

Thanks, thats what I've been doing already on rotated ground. Just thought I'd have to be more diligent with this new piece.

I agree with twice yearly, in general. But if you suspect that, for some reason, you have a heavy parasite load, or your cattle don't stay in good condition, or look "wormy", you may want to worm 4 times per year (every 3 months or so). Most wormers are effectine for about 30 days.
