I just did my pasture renovation to a piece of property that I rented this year. I only reseeded the areas that were really thin and full of weeds before I sprayed. I planted 300lbs of seed on approximately on 2.5 acres. I took my disc and set it to drop down 2 inches to get some dirt on the seeds and I think it will be pretty good.

P.S sorry I don't know how to just post the pics in here.

300lb on 2.5 ac ......if only 20% of it comes up you will have a good stand.

Looks like its going to be ruff on the back if you drive in the field. Why didn't you graze it close before you reseeded it??

My idea was let it seed itself as well as me putting the fescue seed down.. not to mention I don't have the cattle for that pasture yet. I plan on raising black baldies out of that pasture. My other cattle are Sim-Angus cross. It was pretty bumpy but I am hoping it will smooth out some with the rain washing the dirt back into the holes. I normally do this to half my pasture land each year and for the most part goes back to somewhat normal.
