I am in need on information on parentage verification and/or bloodtyping. How both work, how different cattle associations use them for registration, certification, showing etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Blood typing and parentage verification are technically different. With blood typing, you are seeing if it is possible to include/exclude one of the parents based on the 21 blood groups. With DNA, you're matching bands on the chromosomes to verify that the offspring is indeed the exact offspring of the parents.
