Last year we had a phenomenal result from our ET work the kind that spoil you. This year we had good results more in line with industry average at 66% all frozen eggs no IVF. We put 17 eggs in out of the SAV Abigale 913 cow that we own in partnership with Upchurch Angus. Out of 17 eggs we called 5 safe to SAV Sensation, 2 safe to SAV Reign and 6 safe to SAV Resource 1441. 913's January 2, 2018 bull calf is currently on test at Midland. I haven't seen him since we delivered him and his mamma to Upchurch to get her flushed. He is lot #239 at Midland. In total we put in 33 eggs, we have calves on the ground now out of all the other matings but these will be our first ET calves out of 913. The other matings are SAV Blackcap May 0524 X SAV Resource 1441; Sinclair Queen Mother 6R109 X Coleman EXT 6149; Gizmo Pride 0709 X Wulffs EXT 6106; TCA Everelda807U X SAV Resource 1441 and last but not least Finks Pride 065 6198 LB X Coleman EXT 6149 the 065 cow is an old but good cow not the most beautiful cow you would ever find but she was the kind of female that wold make you profitable. Overall a good day.

Congratulations sounds like you guys have been busy and have quite the program. Good luck on the bull sale. Hope he does well as I heard the feed cost and shipping to Midland cost a mint. Where do you sell your females if not off the farm?

Dixie

I guarantee the cost to get him to Montana wasn't cheap but feed cost are inline with other test. We felt this calf was special enough to make the trip. Most of our females are sold off the farm. We do participate in the Southeast Classic sale in Opelika Alabama every year. This sale in my opinion for what its worth is one of the best consignment sales in the Southeast. We will be taking two bred heifers and a cow calf pair to the sale this year. The heifers are both ET calves they are:

Giz Blackcap May D46 0524 RS reg# 18807274https://www.angus.org/Animal/EpdPed...+WmNP/PmG032XK9B0xGYD+JhfkRIOdJFdZuKV2lS+Nw== This heifer was bred AI to Coleman Charlo on 12/5/2017 then pasture exposed to Gizmo Recharge D13 324 3436.

Gizmo Elluna D47 0168 8005 Reg# 18807275 https://www.angus.org/Animal/EpdPedDtl. ... nv2A%3d%3d This heifer was bred AI to Coleman Charlo on 12/8/2017 then pasture exposed to Gizmo Recharge D13 324 3436.

Blood was drawn on both heifers and both came back safe.

The cow calf pair we are sending took some convincing from the boss, this cow is out of my favorite cow family her Pathfinder dam is 13 years old and still going strong maternal sister will be in our flush pen next year. The boss tells me we have to send top end to this sale so by golly we are (with pouting about it the entire trip) The cow is:
Gizmo Pride B65 525 1441 Reg# 18138252 https://www.angus.org/Animal/EpdPed...gZr74EzqYJ3RoGtnxer/NPNDNykjcAghZJgkyQZPeKg== She has a Coleman Charlo bull calf on side E45 registration pending (waiting on DNA test to come back) he is a stud. She was AI'd back to Charlo on 12/29/2017 then pasture exposed to Giz Rainmaker C37 7009 6169 we palpated her safe three weeks ago. We will be getting these cattle up to get them clipped and sale ready in the next couple of weeks. I really think we are taking some nice ones.
