I have similar set ups that have been up for 8 or 10 years with no problem....

I used black 1" gas pipe. I ran insulated wire thru it and just laid it over the entrance gateway on the ground. caulked the ends with silicon and has lasted fifteen years.

Why not just bury a new wire?

The ground there has a layer of 2 inch gravel choked off with what they call "mine waste run". It sets up like concrete. You cannot drive a T post through it. I didn't want to dig through it.
