Had to show and tell someone since hubby is out of town....We finaly got it right...yea!! Found this little heifer yesterday, up, cleaned and NURSING. What a joy. No worries, just a cute calf, now I know how it is supposed to happen. Heifer did great, delivered this 70# girl with no problems. (Figures she would be a great mom, as I hate that cow)

Mom is not the most cooperative cow. She is our problem child, everything is her way and in her own good time. She's not mean, not aggressive just a pure herd BRAT. If something happens around here, you can always bet she was right in the middle of it. And it seems like her calf is going to be the same way, at just a day old we like to have never got her weighed, feisty little thing.

...we're told California will be getting some sun this week!!!
