Took some pictures tonight of our bulls for Farm Fest this year. These bulls have not been babied, nor pampered. As you can tell by the pictures, we are having a tough time of it with flies. I poured them about two weeks ago, but we had a good rain a few days ago and the flies came out like gangbusters! I plan on getting more pour on tomorrow when I am in town so I can do them again, along with the rest of the herd!
Anyway, we will pull them in next weekend to clip them up for farm fest; nothing fancy, just heads and tails. The 4 oldest bulls have completed and passed their BSE on Friday. I forgot to write the weights down; the vet was in a hurry so I was pushing them through fast (he did the bulls, calf hooded 4 heifers, preg checked 3 others). So here they are, flies and all!
This first bull is Ron's bull we are developing and selling. He is a 1/2 blood, sired by Iron Hide and out of his Rocking P Bartlet cow. I do remember his weight because I took a picture of it for Ron, he was 1200 even. He is a September, so just 12 months old. Here is his pedigree:

This is a December (9 months old) 3/4 blood, sired by Pays To Dream. We showed him several times this summer, he won a bunch.

This is him in July
This is a late Sept HPF Optimizer x Shear Force female. He should be a great female maker and add pounds to his calves. He has a nice set of EPD's.

This is an October Upperclass x Simme Valley Zsa Zsa embryo bull (11 months). We showed his sister all summer with great results.

This is his flush sister:
This is a Sept HPF Optimizer x Upgrade female. He is a scale smasher, and I wish I would have written his weight down but I know he was over 1200. He is in the top 5% of the breed for weaning weight, 3% for yearling weight, and 4% for ADG.

This is my Feb embryo bull sired by Bandwagon. He is all guts!

This was him in July
And just a picture of some of the boys hanging out
I have several more bulls, but they would not cooperate at getting their pictures taken. I think the flies had something to do with it!
