what breed is twinning so much? simmental? (just curious)

Angus - it's letting up a bit over the past year or so. A couple of yrs ago I was approaching 20% for a short stretch. Many double dead deliveries. This past spring I calved out 16 cows/heifers & had 2 sets of twins 12.5%. So far this fall I've had 31 births with only this one set of twins & thats much like it went last fall (3.2 %). My spring group always seems to have the greater twinning percentages for some reason. I had one calve yesterday that slipped into the fall calving herd, she had 2 sets in a row while calving in the spring, not so for yesterday's delivery. Go figure. I had another that calved in the spring then slipped to the fall to twin again & then back again to the spring for 3 times in a row (except she is on an 18 month schedule) She sells at the sale barn in 2 weeks when I take off her latest set of twins.
