Organic Beef

A buddy of mine is inheriting a 70 acre farm with 2 good size fenced in pastures with barn connected to each. He decided to raise black angus steers for organic meat, He has also asked me to partner with him. Question is whats all involved permit wise and offial requirements? Also he has farm so really no overhead and only costs will be steers,food,etc.. Any advice or some things we are forgetting costwise?

Hard part might be finding organic feed. I think the farm also has to be pesticide and chemical fertilizer free for a certain number of years.

3 years. It would be best to grow your own feed. That will be hard on 70 acres, but doable.
