Opening Rolls of Hi Tensile Wire

What is your favorite tool or technique for getting the bands off?

I just use a pair of sheetmetal snips I find they work best on all types of metal bands
Just remember when cutting them off of hi tensile to have the wire secure in something like a unroller or an old tire
I seen a guy use a tire for his unroller was pretty slick

I use a pair of fence pliers. Grab the band like you were using them to twist a wire, and give a twist. Breaks off easily. Saves carrying an extra tool to lose.

Blue handled fence pliars used like wilson said. I call them the blue handles. The blue handles and a yella gal wire puller plus a pair of regular pliars are all I use putting up barbed wire.

No kidding! Kinda like a fat woman takin' off pantyhose. Stuff just goes everywhere.
