well she was with a bull and turned up open. she has had 1 calf already.i know we should ship her but we are thinking of trying to A.I. her.are the chances of her becoming bred better by A.I.? the vet checked her and did not know y she did not take.she was with a bull for 3 months.

A bull is used to breed what did not get bred AI, not AI to get what the bull did not.

yea i know that is how it usually works.i was just asking if she might have a better chance getting bred by A.I. the bull is not the problem because about 40 other cows got bred.

My opinion is AI would not help. You have one shot with the AI and the bull will have several shots with a lot more ammo in each shot.

she was put n with the bull 3 weeks after she calved.

If she was at the slow end of the spectrum and didn't start cycling again for 60 days after calving, then she only was with the bull for one cycle if I understand you right. Can you still put her back with the bull? Is she in good condition or is the calf dragging her down?
