One major problem to hiring police officers and school security?

Where is the school system going to find qualified individuals to fill the jobs? No one wants to be a police officer or security guard anymore. Enrollment at the police academy's is at an all time low and job openings in the law enforcement field is at an all time high.
Seems like another good argument for the need of more gun control laws. The country is going to have to find a reasonable way to make it possible to hire Veterans for law enforcement and armed security. I imagine most Veterans wouldn't of hesitated to confront this last school shooter.

It caused a ruckus a few years ago but our school district made up their own police department. There was a power struggle between the school and the city with the resource officer, so the school did this in order to control their police. I have not met any of them but the stories being passed around makes any good officer want to stay as far away from the school as possible.
