Herd- Ha, ha...

Naw, really. We have about 20 cows, 10 replacement heifers that will calve next spring, and 2 bulls. Planning on buying some (15-20) bred heifers this fall with our tobacco buyout money. This will nearly max us out on pasture we have here at the house. Leasing pasture away from home just plain sucks.

His momma is angus/simmetal and the daddy is a black limousin.

That is some breeding he's got! Definitely an animal I'd be willing to make a few exceptions in order to keep. :)

will the black lim throw a lot of black calves or are most of them brown. Is the bull hom or het black

He always throws black calves. He's 'supposed to be' homozygous black - but as soon as I say that, we'll have a red calf come through... (not that there's anything wrong with that, to quote Seinfeld)
