I got tired of waiting for the sun to clean up some ringworm, so I rubbed on low milage 5W30 motor oil as recommended. I was that surprized to find that the stockers seemed to enjoy it - - unlike a lot of the head gate work I do. The fungus must ich a lot.

How much and how many used motor oil applications does it usually take to clean up a steer? :o

Want to do it faster Steve? Add some Desenex to that used oil.

Takes a while to build up and you don't have hoof rot or ringworm.
There was a thread just a while back on it.
We are usually so wet over in my part of the state every one uses it.

Thanks for the tips. I asked for some higher iodine trace mineral but my feed rep was not helpful. I will have to buy some iodine and mix my own. Have you ever seen problems with too much?

Yes talk to your vet, it works but too much is poison.
