October weaned calf prices

Where do y'all think October weaned calf prices will be? Feeder board is same in October as August if it's relevant any more.

Nobody seems willing to take a guess.... My crystal ball says Early October will be much like today but it will be off by the end of the month. It could be that I think that because that is pretty much how it is every year with a few exceptions.

If it is anything like right now, then cheaper. 4-5 wt steers were bringing 1.20 to 1.45 on friday with bulls bringing about .10 less. Didn't have time to stay for the heifers. Cull cows were up a couple of weeks ago some of my dairy farmers told me, in the upper 60's and mid 70's. But I look for feeder prices to be the same or less than now. There are alot of animals with spots in the eyes from the pinkeye problems many of us have had around here....they were off about .10 from the steers. We have had nearly 75% heifers the last 3 calving seasons ( we calve 2x a year) so not going to be a very good fall anyway. Not planning to keep many heifers for replacements either, when we can buy breds or cows w/calves for around 10-1100.
