Looking at bulls and on ABS's Angus list they have a bull called Objective. Anyone used him or have an opinion.

Most are give it any way. Well lets say if you were an Angus breeder and this would be an outcross for most popular blood lines in this breed.

He looks to be a little "wasty" and a slightly heavy in the front end. Not a "bunch" of smooth muscle there either, but enough. He is in the average "zone" on most of his genetic type summary. I like his performance from birth to mature size though. He should have a few daughters in production. How are they doing? If I was looking for good carcass and light calfs, it looks like he would fit the bill.

Purely subjective though!.. :D

I have had 7 in the past 2 weeks from F-1's. Too early to tell much, but cute head, and stockier than the PFred's.

Howdy,

I used Objective to 9 of my cows this December 2004. So I can't tell you what the calfs are like yet, but I used him :)

I do have one 2 year old that was sired by objective and she looks good and the bull calf she put on the ground is doing great. The bull calf is out of A.I. 878

I personally don't like him. He has good numbers and good $$ values but he just doesn't do much for me. He's got a feminine butt, he's poorly muscled in his back half and just does not look like an animal that I'd want to be extensively using. Also I'll be ver contradictory to 1848 and say that he is not at all an outcross... He's got 6807 as a grandpa which the traveler line is still one of the most used in the breed as it's in almost everything.

here's a high dollar son of his
