Nursing Cow

Help Support CattleToday:

You can speed it up using Today or Tomorrow dry cow tubes. They can get kinda spendy, and come in packages of 12 tubes or 144 tubes (1 tube per quarter). My dad mostly uses them, so I'm not sure which is better. Might be worth a phone call to the vet. I would strongly recommend it if you are experiencing extremely cold weather.

today is a mastitis treatment.tomorrow is the dry cow treatment.
Thanks for clearing that up, I just know that I have seen my dad use them both on the dairy cows when he dries them up. He doesn't use both on the same cow, it's just that I have seen both of them get used before. We also used it to dry up some of my first beef cows, the one that didn't get any sort of treatment went from 4 quarters down to 1 during the dry period, and the other two both wean off two calves at 500+ pounds per calf per lactation when we give them an extra beef/dairy cross calf to raise.
