hey all im kind of new to the cattle game. Can anyone give me any advice on what to start with. Color isnt a concern. What im looking for is size and easy calving quality. thanks for any help

Size and easy calving isn't much to go on. What else do you have in mind? Beef quality? Feed efficiency? Able to live on roots and stumps?

Basic breeds to go on for calving ease would include Angus, Murray grey, longhorns, Salers, and many others. In just those breeds mentioned there is a huge variety in production potential.

You need to do a little more research and figure out some other needs and then you can decide on breed.

> Farms Alberta Canada Thanks for the reply. Angus is one of the breed's on the top of my list. And beef quality is one of the major factors in what im looking for. Low maintinance is also a big plus. I still have a lot of researching to do.

I think you might want to check into beefalo I love them and there just enfough differents to get peoples attention check the sights out " Beefalo" Good luck
