New to me pasture

Picked up 5 ac. looking forward to turning it around . Needs some TLC . Fescue , weeds and a few Multflora rose . Think I'll bushhog close ,asap .Then give a good dose of fertilizer .( 75-46-90 ) Not sure about spraying, that's what it needs . But the field is at the edge of town . Any other recommendations . What could I plant in the fescue to add tonnage . The fescue stand is thin , I'm sure the fertilizer will help . Thanks for reading .rj

Ideally, you would have frost seeded in some clovers last month.

When posted pasture I ment hay field . Just picked the field this past weekend . I've tried twice frost seeding clover . Both time were a bust . But I know of some that have good luck .rj

Drill in more fescue

Will your fertilizer supplier mix weed killer with it, if they can, it would save spraying , or at least get it under control enough to spot spray . It's not legal everywhere .
