If pasture is planted in early fall, after the soybeans are taken out. can you put cattle on it in the spring? or would it be to soon. would it be better to cut it for hay the first summer, and then put cows on it the next fall?

Probably just a pasture mix, orchard grass, red clover alfalfa, timothy, maybe some annual rye in there as a cover crop. but im open to suggestions. Im not sure about the novel endophyte, or endophyte free fescues.

Avoid the enophye free fescues, no persistence. Have you given any thought to festuolium?
Most grasses, if seeded in the spring can stand a very light grazing late in the year. But a lot of that depends on the grass, growing conditions and soil type.

Dun,
I'd never heard of it, but it looks interesting, I'll have to do some research. have you tried it, and how does it do?
