New calf

I was exercising horses yesterday and found one of my angus hiefers with a brand new calf. I've been waiting and watching but she wasn't one of the ones who I thought would calf first. That's the way I like it. No worry, just a healthy cow and calf. I wish they all came like that.

Congratulations. That's always a nice surprise. Hope the rest of them do as well.
 
They are beginning to drop like flys now. I found two more yesterday. All are out of first time heifers and a bull I posted a pic of a few weeks ago. While he did not get the best (or worst) review, he is throwing some pretty little calves. I think I'll keep him at least one more go round.
