New bull : fire away !

We were hoping to get some heifers and then go back with our angus bulls . Think we have 2 heifers out of 11 currently. Son was wanting to add some ear to see if they could stay out of the ponds during hot weather.

Those calves will sell well. I live in East Texas and every cow should be 3/8 to 1/2 Brahman influence and then use the right bull depending on your goals. When you breed a 3/8 Brahman influenced cow to an English or Continental influenced bull you will get a calf that is less than 1/4 blood (3/16). Those calves will hair up and can make it in Kansas.

Cull list for age? How old is she? How heavy does she wean a calf at 7 months?
First , she has a big lump under her chin . Vet said nothing to worry about , but she just looks like something is wrong . Second, she usually weans the lightest calf of all the Herefords and not the best confirmation. We kept her because we wanted to get as many calves out of the brangus bull that we can get. She is around 9-10 yrs old .

The post I replied to was under the picture of the black cow. I thought you were talking about the black one.

But yeah, I can see why the Hereford.
