New bull : fire away !

She is out of a full sister to the red long horned cow I've put pics of on here before. Wish I had 40 like her ! She has raised 2 calves twice in the last 5-6 years . Had a couple of orphans that she let nurse . Didn't see a difference in her calf .

If a person had more money than sense it would be interesting to flush some of those good old commercial cows. We might end up with a bunch of good heifers or maybe just average. Would be an expensive way to increase your cow herd.

Got a couple I would try for sure

9 total so far out of Mississippi Hippie, brangus bull . I'd say 14 more to go but saw him courting the old horn cow yesterday. So there will only be 22 from him if all are bred . She doesn't go in the corral even with feed so it'll take a trick to get her caught and loaded to go to the sale barn .

They say "sex sells". She might follow the bull in to the corral when she is looking for a bit.

Ken

Found an old pic of her . I advertised her as an organic cow , no additives. . She went in the portable catch pen the first year we got those cows . She either doesn't go in , or jumps or goes under the panels .
