New Brahman bull

My son looked at this bull yesterday and (we bought him) to put on some Hereford cows. He supposed to be a virgin bull.
But after they delivered him I noticed some knots on his left hind leg.
He's not limping.
Any thoughts?

Was that hock swollen when your son looked at him? I suspect a blown hock from picture. This is a case where you might want to get him checked out.

A bad hock will affect his ability to mount a cow.

If it was he didn't notice it.
That's my concern when he try's to cover a cow it might give way.

Probably banged it when they loaded him up ,or on the trailer..best to let em know about it .,faster the better..and he may be alright in a few days.ive had em kick back like that closing gates behind them..

My son insisted we turn him out with some cows. So I went along with it but so far so good.
He's the only bull with a smaller group of cows. I dang sure don't want him pushing around with another bull.
