New borns with large girthy umbilical cords/navels

Just curious- we're about half done with 30 to go and over half of the calves born have had large or girthy umbilical cords/navels. It hasnt caused any problems yet but its one of the first things that catches your eye when a new born stands up for the first time. Curious if anyone has an explanation for it or if its something I should be concerned about.
