Would anyone who cannot see the messages on our new boards try these two forums and see if they can see the messages on them:

<A HREF="http://horselover.net/forum.htm" TARGET="_blank">http://horselover.net/forum.htm</A>

<A HREF="http://forumimages.com/styles_demo/index.php?s=6" TARGET="_blank">http://forumimages.com/styles_demo/index.php?s=6</A>

Thanks!

I haven't got my new hookup yet, but I can see both of those forums you had links to.

I can see them and they seem to work just fine.

I can also see them just fine. Can't understand why I'm having trouble with the other boards on this site.

i tried looking back & all i could find is you folks saying you couldn't see the new boards. can you see anything at all? the tabs at the top but no messages? sometimes mine takes a really, really, long time to open & then to switch between pages & i have to refresh often........it's my server. could that be the problem?

i have tried to post a response on the new board and it tells me that my user name is already being used. what am i doing wrong?

all I can see is the tabs on the top and none of them will work. This is my favorite cattle fornum. I sure would hate to have start using another one.

that's kind of how mine looks sometimes....it was doing that last night. i have cheap internet service & usually it's ok, but sometimes i get what i pay for.

Since you are a Registered Member no one can post a message with your name "jcarkie" but you. And you have to be Logged In. Also the software automatically logs you off after two hours of inactivity so you would need to log in again before you post. The automatic login doesn't work if the computer has logged you out.

Well since you all can see the Horselover forum running on our server, it's not the server.

And since you can see the ForumImages forum, it's not the unmodified software.

That pretty much leaves my modifications as the problem. Problem with me finding my error is it doesn't show up on any of my browsers.

If you can please let me know which browser you all are using by email or posting the info here. Just click on Help at the top of your browser and the click on About. It will show you the name and version. Like Explorer 6.0.2 or Netscape 4.0 then I can load your browser and see if I can find and correct my error.

M Gravalee,

I am having a hard time figuring out which reply's are new. I login and open up a red folder. Then I have to try and figure out were I last left off. The only thing I know is the last reply is new. I find myself reading reply's I have already read, looking for the place were the new reply's start. No one else seems to have this problem. Is there something I need to activate in order to shade out the old reply's once they have been read? Any help appreciated!

M Gravlee,

I just went back and read your post 1/01/04 and at that time marking the new reply's wasn't in affect. You were going to hold off to see how things went. Sorry if I have jumped the gun.

If the new format uses frames, maybe their browsers aren't set to handle forms. Just a WAG

Rod, I'll put in a mod to show only unread posts as well as list newest posts first if we use this software.

Until then, if you click the little sheet of paper icon under "Last Post" column it'll take you the last post in that topic. You can then just go up until you get to a post you have read. Should be quicker than going from the top down on topics with a large number of replies.

Doesn't use forms. I just put in a space or left out a space somewhere. If anybody knows PHP I'll send them the problem code to look over.

Mine is Microsoft Internet explorer 6.0.2600.0000IS

Hummmmm..... I guess I was expecting something more unusual. I'm running Explorer 6.0.28 and have no problems.
