Sounds like you're turning over a lot of cattle every year so any system that works for you would be fine. I've never been in an operation like that so had the opportunity to actually see, observe and learn cattle and their calves. Over the years would learn the cow and could tell you her number without seeing it. Years ago I was helping an old dairyman and was telling him about cow and gave him her ear tag number. He told me quickly "Cattle lose ear tags but every cow is different... learn your cattle". In your situation tho I'd be worthless. :lol: I guess all systems work. Some just better than others. Hope you find one that makes it a bit easier.
