I think ITLA has an online breeder directory you can access. If I'm not mistaken TLBAA doesn't ... my teflon memory...duh. We're member of both.

Their journals are: ITLA Drover and the Texas Longhorn Trails (TLBAA).

Make sure you look at lots of cattle and determine what you want to do with them before you begin shopping or you may regret some of your purchases. It is more difficult for you to market longhorns in Virginia than it is for me in Texas and the Southwest. Also, it may be just as cost effective to ship some across country depending upon the number you are buying and whether or not you can find what you are looking for locally. I'm not sure about Bill from Running Arrow, but we have shipped from coast-to-coast and as far North as Ohio.

One of the "big dogs" in Longhorns is Dickinson Cattle Company in Ohio, which of course could be relatively close to you in Virginia. You may want to see what they have for sale -- but it is probably pretty pricey. But I think that was real good advise that Lazyhill offered to you.

They are good people! We've bought several from them plus high end semen. Excellent service...and, willing to talk to you and offer advice and suggestions...a rarity in these times...lol.
