Have a buddy that says he needs hereford semen from the 60's and 70's. He hasn't called Jim Reed yet but I told him I'd ask here.
Horned or polled, he said it doesn't matter.

I'm thinking he is wanting the old "smurf" low to the ground herfs to mate up on his chi type cross bred cattle.

I'm just doing what I was told. Any info is appreciated. Time to empty out all the old junk in the tanks folks...I have a buyer!!!

Have a good Thanksgiving.

He may also want to check with Jim Lents in Oklahoma, who has linebred herd of horned Herefords.

Mill Creek was advertising semen on this bull last year. CH DOMINO 053. That's the oldest Hereford semen I know of.

1970 model?? Reed has some in the tank that are older than that. RWJ Victor F21 H125 is a 1961 model and is available at $5 a straw (you might want to check to see if those are really straws)

I'm reasonably sure I have some going back to the 70's cert, maybe back to the late 60's. A friend of mine dumped some ampules out that sure enough were pre1970. He poured them out about 8 or 10 yrs ago. I wish he hadn't.
