Have a cow that took on a ophan calf plus her own ,calfs are now three months. she had cancer eye and has had it removed healing very nice. should I wean the calfs early like now to give the mother time to rest before rebreeding her in july? the calfs also are on calf feed once a day and are nice and sasy. is this to early to wean them?

If the cow is in good condition and not losing much if any weight I would leave the calves on her. Most cows are bred and carry the new calf 5-6 months wjile the cow is still nursing the current calf. If she's in poor body condition or is losing weight I qouls think about weaning at least one of the calves. It's not too early to wean if they're eating they're creep and hay/forage well.
