Last night we had ravioli again and I used the same pasta dough recipe as before but some of them opened up when boiling and the filling leaked out. How can I prevent this in the future ?

Thanks

Only thing I can think of HD is the edge's were not crimped enough or there was some flour keeping the edge's from being able to stay together.
I do not brush my egde's with either water or an egg wash, they don't seem to stick together.

Hope this helps.

Duct tape or baling wire will fix the problem

Hey, my cooking is not that bad that they would just blend in .. :p

I thought about an egg wash, I wonder if it was my flour though as I switched to bread flour.. :? I used about 30 dollars worth of special cheeses in the filling so it really ticked me off when it leaked out into the water..

That meal was almost more than we would have payed to go out and eat, the ravioli cost at least 40-50 dollars to make and the 2 bottles of 30 dollar wine..

I am glad date night is not every night.. :help:

But home a cooked meal is priceless.. :D

Thanks all.
