Need a little help

We have a brahman show heifer that is 21 months old and do to me being down from a blood clot in my lung I was not able to watch her and do anything with untill now.

I have not been able to catch her in standing heat even with a 1.5 year old steer being turned out with her when we can do to work .
was hoping to get her breed between 16-18 months. but that did not happen and Im really needing to get her breed.
I have teh straws already stored in a seman tank with a friend.

question is, would I be better off just to keep watching her for standing heat? or have AI tech bring her into heat and then AI

sounds like you need to do a timed AI.

If you can, get some other females in with her and use something like the estrotect patches to help recognize her cycle.

does it lower the chance of her getting breed by inducing her heat ?

I don't think it lowers the chance, but to me, you need a way to know if they are in standing heat or not. Otherwise it's a crap shoot imo.
