Minnesota's program has improved and is coming along, but even the biggest local enthusiasts were Hoping for maybe
a 6 seed and very surprised by getting the 5... with some even thinking maybe 8 or 9

I've got 10 seed Wichita State (30-4) to upset 7 Daytona (24-7) in my bracket picks.
I don't follow basketball close enough to do much betting. Only straight bet I placed was Minnesota to lose.

Putting aside personal bias, no one does more with freshman that Mr. John Calipari.

BTW: I agree with the talking heads. Wichita State got underseeded. Ky has an equal chance beating UCLA.

Absolutely. Calipari has the talent every coach covets. But......He is the one who can bring them in. Plus, it takes a magician/wizard to mold that talent into something other that a bunch of spoiled brats. I am confident even his most dedicated haters must envy his skill as a psychologist, to manage that kind of young talent.
