Natural outbreaks of anthrax in cattle

Where can I find a list of outbreaks of natural outbreaks of anthrax in American and Mexican cattle - when they occured and in which states?
Also are there any other diseases which could present a similar bacterial illness associated with grazing, and does drought increase the problem?

i don't know where you can find a list, but you can probably contact the USDA & they should be able to help you.

they can get anthrax from exposure to infected soil. i think it is more common after flooding, but i guess they could also get it during drought if exposed to infected soil (like if the grass died or wind exposed soil). in times of drought my first suspicion would be poisoning from the cows searching out something to eat that they normally wouldnt mess with. ..
