this week is national FFA week. The last couple of years one of our elementary/middle schools does a workshop for all of the students. the last 2 years I did some leather work demo's. The also have a wood worker, forestry, Blacksmith, bee keeper and a few others.
This year I wanted to do something different and be able to teach the kids something a little more useful. I am going to teach them a few simple Braiding techniques. I braid all kinds of media but one of the easiest is paracord. I am going to teach the survival bracelet braid, 4 strand round braid, 8 strand round braid along with a couple of useful decorative knots.
