I like Rebel Rose :)

Names of our cattle show team this year are, for the heifers, Tingle, Sapphire, Diva, Shapely Escort, Misty and the bulls are Cappucino and Bonanza.

The goat show team are does: Aura, Banksia, Breeder, Bounce, Bordello, Belinda, and bucks: Ammunition, Assassin, Andy, Benz, Balls, Buckardi and Boing. (Boing and Bounce are twins).

Names of some of the show steers I have had are: Maverick, Wexford, Ace, Dazza, Kormoran, Tchaikovsky, Frankie, Sparry, Rockafella, Bronco, Spot, Snowball, Mario, Max, Wilbur, Chabobla, Huskvarna, Pickle, Rupert, Frankfurt. I can't think of any more at the moment!

Calves heifers: Cute as a Button aka buttons, Jillian, Cadette, Jezebel, Sharma, Gigi's Rock Star aka punk, Jackie, Fancy, Lassie, Bourbon Spirit, we've also had a bunch of Miss...

Calves male: Jack, Sampson, Fat Head, Hot Johnny, Ignite, Commando, Booger.

Goats: Ginny, Gertrude, Claire, Abigail, Vanessa, Austin Powers

I'm sure we've had more, but I can't remember. Our cows go by the numbers on their eartags.

Previous years-Toe Jam, Oreo, Chocolate Chip, Prince, King, Dolly, Buddy, Buck, Fred, Uh-oh, Fabio

This year- Hopper, Whizzer, Happy Tail, Mud Butt, O'Ryan, Willy Nel ;)

Other animals- Diva, Cow, Miss Flip Flop, Norbert, Honey, Herc, another Willy, Tortuga, Savannah, Grandma, Brusier, Chula, OJ

Silly, but it fits them ;)

Heifers: Who Dat?(Darlas heifer calf), P-Nut, baby who?, plain jane
Bulls:Lex Lugar, Black Echo, Sinbad, Murphys mac, Darkness
Steers(all dead):Big Cliff, Srgnt.Pepper, NimRod, Tar Baby, Red Bone, Stymie Joe, and the most creative of all.... Budd lol

yepp i've had some strange named ones and every one has some weird story behind it other than the bulls they were already named when we got them

show steers: Bruno, Wyoming, trey, trump aka baby, bo, duke, luke, will, jack

goats rose, rocky, j.j., chrissy, apricot, evy, mr., rainy

Hmmm ..... 46 (I think) through 87 - witha few blank spots but there is Dirty Face - she will put you over the fence in a heartbeat if she takes a disliking to you. Jumper - who is DF's understudy - except she goes over the fence - hence the name.

And Gretzky - who wears tag number .... ????? You can guess.

Otherwise they are a bunch of thick headed, hay eating, manure spreading machines that are usually tame - until a dog shows up. Then, even I get out of the way.

Long as they breed back they stay - otherwise they are dead.

Only my registereds have names the rest are just numbers which I refer to prisoner # so and so. The way I see it they are prisoners, they are assigned numbers, and are kept within the confines of barbed wire. Thus this makes me the warden, judge, jury, and executioner should the need arise. I feed out steers for slaughter and when they are in the pen being fed I tell everyone that asks about them that they are on death row and are condemned to die. They look at me like im some kind of sicko but I think its funny. LOL!

im with you :D

other people name my steers....my steer last year had at least 10 names..... i mean like everybody who knew my steer all had their own name for him

my heifer is registered as hannah and thats what i call her

when i talk to my steer i just call him steer :cboy: or if he is acting retarded or wont walk i call him stupid

and when i show angus for my brother we just call them by their eartags

1300lbs heifer: Fatty Fat McFat Fat. Steer:Webacha ,steer: Yang, Heifer: Molly, Cow:Miss. fancy pants

Lets see, steers and heifers: Joe, Moe, Scooter, Tabitha, Toby, Scarlet, Onyx, Platinum, Yellow Jacket, Silver Bullet, T.J., Shorty, Cracker, Tater, Miss Mary, Black Pearl.

show bulls - wobbles - dreamer( sold ) - little billy barbwire ( sold )-piglet ( sold )- blue ( will be 2008 steer )- lex luther - rudy ( will be 2008 steer )

and then you got the rest of the herd witch includes some of the show heifers but there are atlantis- ariel- rudolph aka rudy - bessy-brittany-lex luther - twister- carmela - rosa - blue - wobbles - mini pearl

and i have about 4 more coming in in this next month that i havent seen yet so i cant name them yet but they are chabray just like the rest of our herd

This years show heifers- Cheena, Nia, Duchess, Allegra, Gelly (yes, thats a G) Bean, Cecillia (CC, we didnt name her), Lacie. Those are all barn names, they have different registered names.

Favorite names from past years show animals : Steer: Says Who, Steer: Ennie, Heifer: Bandra

Next Years Show heifers...(theme:cars). Lexus, Camry, Kia (sister to Nia..haha),Synata, Rav. Steers: Dodge & Ram...or we were thinkin Hummer if we only show one. Of course, they would all have different registered names.

Favorite Cow Names: Madrea, Bessies Essance (Boo).

Of course we have had our "Bessies, Reds, Sprit, Bambie" names, but those are the ones that I like.

My 3 yearold daughter gets to name mine. The last three are as follows:

BubbleGum YoYo, but she pronounces it Buggledom YoYo
Pockanutz (which is how she pronounces polka dots) (Note: Calf if pitch black)
Green Pajamas

I figured why not, I have seen crazier names out there for cattle.

Our past show heifers have been named: Aimee, Miss Pizazz, Princess, Lily, Jessica, Miss Cleo, Mary Lou, Bonnie Boo

Our past show bull was named Legacy.

This years show stock will be....
Heifers: Mary Lou, Bonnie Boo, Jessica, Carefree Beauty, Daisy, Miss Priss, Summer...and possibly more.

Bulls: Tabasco and possibly more.

i also have a fatty and a molly :D and a dottie, koko puf, blackie, carmen, doc, fireball, carlos, bucky, pooder, boy blue, fred...the list goes on and on. unfortunetly i usually end up with a name for almost everything. but now were getting up there in the numbers and i cant keep track.

the gal I am winter bulls for gives them a first name by the letter year ( '06=S, '07 =T, etc), cow's middle name, and sire's last name. I have here Sargent Elba by Design. sired by genetics by design bull, out of Lady Elba cow. and I have Serious Lady Freedom. Serious for '06, out of Lady Blackcap, sired by TC Freedom. this year so far she has taxi, timber, and tundra. seems to work for her. and she calls them all by their first name, and their name is on their ear tag. the mrs. names ours by the letter year also, but we also have our usuals of annie (orphan), frosty (no ears), goggles (has black goggles), ripper (ripped ear), moon (moon faced), etc.
