name of black and white breed?

This past summer outside of Brockville, Ontario, Canada, I saw four or five cattle with black forequarters and hindquarters but with the coloring sloping to reveal a white belly and middle. All of the cattle were identical in markings. Any idea what breed these could be?

> these could be? These cattle are probably Belted Galloway. A belted derivative of the great Scottish breed Galloway. The Galloway come in Black,White or Dun coloured. Australia now has red belted Galloways as well miniature Galloways are becoming popular.
