We fish for these Sailfish a lot but they are catch and release.

That is what we used to do. Now I run a rope through them, loop it on top of the corner post, grab the skin with my side cutters, and away we go. Then we fillet them and hang head bones and all on the fence. Sometimes you can't get the heads in 5 gallon buckets because they are so big.

Worst thing about trot lines are those pesky nasty channel cat. Their meat is not white and they'll eat anything. About the only thing a yellow cat will bit is live perch. We give away those little 8 to 10 pound channel cats.
