Evidently, they never visited Cameron La when the breeze was wafting the wonderous odor over from the pogey bait plant, or NE San Angelo when the rendering plant was fired up and running.

I've heard about their watermelons and their big watermelon festival. Never been to Luling myself but had a niece work in the hospital there several years ago. Suppose to have some good BBQ and other dishes. Got it on my bucket list with a thousand other places.

When I was a yonker, Tacoma, WA had a lot of paper mills. Don;t know if they still do or not. The standard saying was, "When you smell that strange aroma then you'll know you're in Tacoma"
