So I've been going on and on about how much I like Brown Cows and Richard's daughters.
9-5 (Big Sister) was pregged 4 months bred today.

Her Sister (Little Sister) and her both got the full vaccination and wormed today.
They will be part of my girls from here on I reckon...
Don't pay any never mind to that top wire. I know I know!

Well she's done it again I believe. 9-6 was born July 12th.
Shes done gone and moved up expeditiously. Wish her first daughter would do that! Still waiting on her too. She ain't late, but dang sure ain't moved up.

She had a heifer by Big Sexy 2 calves ago. Didn't keep that one. Last two have been by Richard. And I still got em!

Banded and tagged. I was sure to turn to the hot wire off before I headed down there. Lil bit of a wrestle getting him banded in the ditch. Frisky already!
Could not get any pics of mama acting like she was gonna get me. Just ain't got enough hands.

Headed north to find a new hide out. The freshly mowed ditch is no longer suitable.
How bout that pasture! Came back pretty good all things considered.

Ditto's mama should be along next.

Brown Cow (Ditto's mama) has had hers early this morning! Another big strapping bull calf. Couldn't get 3 heifers in a row outta her I guess. This is her 7th calf.

Bessies daughter is always so curious about the new babies!!

This year has just been crazy as far as birthweights. All the bull calves are big!!

If she moves up again next year I'll sure be a happy happy camper!

@MurraysMutts you should get a Hoofometer Birthweight Tape. One side for bull calves, the other side for heifers. I don't use mine that often but it does come in handy.

Buddy stopped by day or two ago. Said he couldn't believe all the colorful cows I got in my pasture. Is that a belted galloway??? Yep. Told him what I gave. He said I'd a probly bought her too.

Big sister and Lil Sister!
Sired by Richard. Out of Brown Cow. Again, the ONLY cow to have 2 calves by him. I really really like them! Big Sister will be along about end of September. Bred to Big Sexy for her first calf. (Fingers crossed all goes well. She will be at home in my south acre for peace of mind and so I can help if needed)
She will be 2 years old end of this month. Got her bred just right I think. And Lil Sister is near as big already!

Awww. Tiny teat development ....

Shirley. She actually seems a bit lean for this time of year!

Rocket and Rowdy's steer calves sold yesterday too!
Check em out in the above pics. I'm VERY satisfied with my main herd and the calves I got outta Big Sexy.
They went absolutely nutz over those 2 calves. Unweaned and an overnight stay at the sale barn. They had a good weigh up.
They weighed 505lbs and brought $2.85
They did sell some 5 weights over 3 bucks yesterday. Weaned and shots etc.
