My bull must have been on viagra or something :cowboy: . I have had 12 calves drop since last night. These are all live cover calves. I am expecting more in the next few days and then another wave after that. I have kept busy all day trying to tag and band etc. It still looks close to 50/50 bulls and heifers. I had one calve at dark this evening. It was up and nursing but I will have to find out tomorrow what it is. All I can figure is the bull was very busy last summer. Not bad for a bull that was almost salvaged for a damaged penis in January 2012.

I had a HUGE maple tree fall on the back fence and bust all 5 strands of barb wire as well as drive a t-post all the way in the ground. I broke out the big Stihl and it quit running. I did the job with a 16" Husqvarna. This tree had to be 40" in diameter. Betwenn that and calves I have been hard at it since 7 this morning. I am wore out.

You sure he didn't have help? Sounds like he knows his job.
I am sure.....the breeding pasture has no neighbors with cattle AND they all have his "stamp" on them. They all look relatively the same. He just flat gets the job done. One time I saw him breed the same cow 5 times in less than an hour. The last time he had her in the corner of a V shaped part of the corral where she couldn't get away. She was so wobbly in the legs from continually being mounted that she finally just laid down.

Moral of the story, buy another Husky saw! ;-) We use them exclusively.

So far 40 calves from this bull with 1 pull. No calves over 80 lbs till this one out of this heifer. I am suspecting her genetics. First calf I have had to pull in 5 years.

My guess is he bred them over a weeks time and the barometer decided when they would hit the ground. Just sayin!

You are probably right but I like to think he is the man anyway :cowboy:
