James King, who appeared on TLC's "My 600lb-Life," has died. He was 49.

The reality star passed away at a Nashville hospital on April 3, according to his obituary on the Milner & Orr Funeral Home website. His cause of death has not been released.

TLC confirmed King's death in a tweet Monday.

"TLC was deeply saddened by the loss of James King, who shared his weight-loss journey on My 600lb Life. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time," the network said.

The last time King appeared on "My 600lb-Life" was in 2018. He originally appeared on the show's 2017 season. In the past, he has dealt with health issues including sepsis and cirrhosis of the liver, according to TMZ. When he first appeared on the show in 2017, he weighed 791 pounds. The next time he returned to the show, his weight had increased to 840 pounds.

The series follows obese individuals, seeking to undergo gastric-bypass surgery, over a year of their lives. It has been on the air since 2012.

King lived in Paducah, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Raisor King, his father, three brothers, four daughters, two sons and 19 grandchildren.

"James loved sports, especially wrestling, hockey and baseball," his obituary continues. "James' favorite team to cheer for was the Chicago Cubs. His other hobbies included fishing and communicating to friends across the country on his CB Radio under the handle 'Cracker Jack.'"

Oooh, you're ideal! Calculated me as boarderline low - but I'm very healthy, none of which is taken into consideration.

It's a good thing I've gained like 15 lbs over the last 2 years! i'd have been on the low end before for sure, but like you, i've always been healthy, I eat like a percheron. They give you bonus points if you're within a decent BMI range and do it without a special diet

Wonder at what point he just gave up or why he gained so much weight. It's sad to me. This guy lived in Kentucky close to us. I didn't know him personally.

Years ago he may have been a totally different guy. We don't know at what point he gained all the weight. I watched the show but I can't remember his story now its been a while back. When I get some spare time I may have to watch it again. Heck we don't know what she may like in the bedroom. My mind just couldn't help but to wonder. I know that's wrong. Shame on me.

I had to place him in a box but it was just a wood box with nothing so I wrapped him in a blanket, put his collar on and made him whole. So he could go in his blanket with his things. When my best friend passed away she always was a big joker. She would joke before she died saying stuff like when she died she wanted everybody to party at her funeral pop open some beers and celebrate. They played Ozzy Osbourne Mama I'm coming home at her funeral. She wore jeans and a nice sweater like she always dressed. She looked so beautiful like she always did just at peace.
Like I said nobody wants to plan or talk about funerals but sooner or later we will all end up there.
I watched a funeral on YouTube a while back they had it like old times with horses but it was now days. That would be different. It was actually a company that would do them like that. I told my husband I want mine like that with the 3 people that will come.
