If there is any way you can get your hands and eyes on this article, do so:It is "The Cowboy Way," by Jim Jennings. It was reprinted with permission in "Hereford America" magazine. It was originally published in "America's Horse." It is about Douglas Lake Cattle Company, which they say is the largest ranch in Canada. There are 164,000 acres of deeded land, and 350,000 of government grazing land. The borders stretch 60 miles from top to bottom, and 35 miles from side to side. They have their own post office, church, store, and school. They are famous for their horses, which are of Peppy San breeding.

At any time there are about 7,000 momma cows both Herefords and black baldies. They sell their calves as yearlings after backgrounding them after weaning. The ranch is located in BC.

Last I heard on TV the King Ranch was 880,000 acres .I think it was the largest private owned ranch in the world.

That title goes to a fello from Austraila, by the name of Sidney Kidman, he owned/ or co-owned 111 stations(ranches) in central Australia.

There is a book called the Cattle King about him and his endeavors
