Murphy must have owned horses!

My same little 4 yr old gelding that cut the sole of his foot - I've been back to riding him for about a month now and he's just doing fantastic! so.... naturally he managed to hurt himself again.
I was going riding last night after work, saddled him up, loaded him in the trailer - big open stock trailer, no dividers - went up the road, was stopped on the side of the road waiting for a friend who was going to meet me there, and my horse managed somehow to throw himself - with the trailer at a dead stop - and somehow during the process split the hide open right on top of his head! - So needless to say, instead of spending a nice evening riding - I spent the evening (and $200) at the vets office - getting him stitched up! So another few weeks off until this heals and I can put a bridle on him!
I guess some horses will do anything to get out of work!
